With 8 bays, the SAS-to-SAS-JBOD ARC-4038-8 forms a compact external storage enclosure for 12 Gbps SAS disks or 6 Gbps SATA (Serial ATA) drives. The box is suitable for both LFF and SFF drives. Each ARC-4038 Compact JBOD supports four 12 Gbps SFF-8644 and one 6 Gbps SFF-8088 SAS host and expansion ports. Configuration and environmental information can be established via either an in-band (SES-3.0 over SMP) or out-of-band serial port.
